9/21/26

Come see what we're doing this week in school.  Normally I would have some grades updates on a Monday morning as well, but unfortunately we are having some issues with our online gradebook, ProgressBook.  These are being worked out, and grades will be updated as soon as everything is in working order.

I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend!  Today kicks off our Success for All literacy class.  Welcome to any parents and guardians who are not in my homeroom who happen to be checking out the Online Classroom!

Parents and guardians in my homeroom, I only have 4 students from my homeroom in my SFA class.  I reached out to those students' families last week on ParentSquare to let them know about this.  To all of the other families in my homeroom, your child's SFA teacher likely did the same.  Please let me know if you are unsure as to who your child's SFA teacher is.

As far as what's new on the website today, you can see what we're doing this week in school, and you can see what we're working on in my SFA class.  I've also added a new section with a few ways you can help support BPS at home.

Find out what we're doing this week in school, and be sure to see our first (small) set of grades posted in math.  If you happen to check out our class calendar, you'll notice that we start library this Wednesday.

We're kicking off our first full week of school today, so be sure to see what we're doing.  Also today, students were given a paper bag to fill for our "Me in a Bag" assignment.  This isn't necessarily homework (I know the attached note says homework on it, but this isn't for a grade), but students will be sharing their bags with the class on Friday.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Welcome to the start of a new school year, and welcome to 2nd grade!  This website will be updated at least at the start of every week with information about what we're doing in class.  In the meantime, browse through the Online Classroom to see what it has to offer, and let me know if you have any questions.

Parents and guardians, students will be introduced to the class website next week, but you're welcome to browse it together if you'd like before then.
